Surrounded by vines and the golden glow of fall, this October wedding in the NC foothills was an absolute lover's dream.
A love that time wove into being
On their first date, the groom, M, told his bride, L, "I am going to make you fall in love with me. L was not so certain, but look where they made it to this weekend. A lovely crowd of family and friends warmly gathered to celebrate, laugh, and enjoy the union that began dancing in the kitchen, making dinner, and stealing glances between the laughter.
The Getting Ready Was where the fun began
From aged bourbon with old friends to a luxury hair and make-up team pampering the ladies, L & M knew how to get the wedding day started. As the groom got ready off-site at the nearby Hampton Inn, L and her girls were glowing in the soft light at the Shelton Vineyards Farmhouse. The luxury hair and makeup team, the team from Salon 42 in Charlotte, set the bar for the beauty of the day. With not a hair out of place, we all made our way to the cottage to prepare for the first look.
As the sun shone on the vines, they met for the last time as simply fiancés.
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of preparations at the ceremony site, our couple gathered outside the Farmhouse to capture some candid moments in the vineyard, a glimpse of one another, and sneak in their elegant fine art portraits before the ceremony began.
They made their way through the vineyard to their intimate ceremony
Friends and family coming in from miles to gather here at Shelton Vineyards for this intentional wedding. I swear you could feel the anticipation for this couple to make their way down the aisle and declare their vows from the moment the guests arrived. Accompanied by three attendants each, the bride and groom waited across the aisle while their grandsons handed out favors, brought in the rings, and took places to escort the bride to this elegant island settled amongst willows, vines, and lush greenery. The elegant sound of strings filled the air as words of love were spoken, and shards of glass became one in unity, a representation of their unfading love was shared in an intimate ceremony.
The Ceremony, Cocktails, and Dancing stole the night away
After this heartfelt, intimate ceremony by the water, the couple joined their family and friends at the farmhouse for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. The place was a buzz with stories, laughter, and the humming chime of dishes, drinks, and beats.

Stealing away for sunset portraits, they soaked in the day and headed into a night that would not be soon forgotten.
